My name is Derek Jin, and I am a Grade 10 student at Southridge School. I am deeply passionate about basketball and music, which greatly influence my personal life. Basketball and other sports inspire me with their competitive nature and the power of teamwork. Music, on the other hand, fosters my creativity and is a vital part of my daily routine, bringing both calmness and energy.

In addition to my personal interests, I actively contribute to my community. As the founders of the "Vancouver Student Business Association," I have had the privilege of working with a remarkable group of friends who share my goal of giving back. Together, we tackle important issues, such as solving local challenges and finding creative ways to support those in need. This initiative has been more than just a project—it has been a valuable opportunity for collaboration, leadership, and personal growth.

I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished so far, and I am excited about the potential for continued growth and impact in our community. Although balancing academics, extracurricular activities, and leadership responsibilities can be challenging, the rewards of contributing to something meaningful make it all worthwhile.

My name is Bryan and I am a grade 10 student from Southridge School with a strong passion for sports, art and chess. I enjoy playing different sports including football and basketball while studying physics and math as they are my favourite subjects. Doing community service and volunteering for different events is important to me as it benefits those who need it most and enriches our local community as well

Outside of school, I delve deep into the realm of physics as it develops my critical thinking skills and enhances my understanding of the world around me. I also like to go to the gym and work out in my free time as it practices my discipline and the ability to stay consistent to reach a long-term goal.

I am grateful to be part of the Student Business Association and I would try everything I can to help the community. My goal is to leave a positive impact on the community and a legacy for other students.

My name is Ethan, and I am a Grade 10 student at Semiahmoo Secondary. I enjoy many things but music, technology, engineering, and sports are highlights of my life. Listening to music has always been both calming and motivating while technology and engineering has been my relative focus of study. On the other hand, sports is something that provides me the opportunity to socialize and compete, bringing a more ambitious and fierce side out of me.

Activities I attend both outside and inside of school expresses my interests. I attend coding classes and explore technology outside of school while focusing on areas more engineering based in school. Due to my schedule getting busier, hobbies like music and sports have relatively taken a step back. However, during free time, you won’t be surprised to catch me listening to music and playing sports.

I founded this group of young entrepreneurs along with my friends to help with the lack of essential medical supplies the hospital faces after learning about it on a trip. This organisation has enriched my experience in being a leader as well as helped me grow personally, allowing me to further mature and take responsibility. Throughout the years of volunteering, the effect we bring to people in need has really shined through, further motivating us to persevere on what we are doing.

My name is Trevor, and I am a Grade 10 student at Southridge with a strong passion for sports, technology, volunteering, and music. I enjoy playing basketball and badminton, as well as exploring technology through coding and robotics. Volunteering for events and fundraising for those in need have always been meaningful pursuits for me.

Outside of school, I participate in a debate club, where I’ve developed my public speaking and critical thinking skills. Music is another important part of my life; I play the saxophone, piano, and bass clarinet, which has enriched my creative expression and discipline.

I joined a group of young entrepreneurs to contribute to fundraising initiatives while collaborating with driven, like-minded individuals. This experience has allowed me to grow both personally and professionally while working toward a shared purpose. Helping others has always been a guiding principle for me, and I value every opportunity to make a positive impact in my community.
